We left our house at 6:45am and started the hike at 9:30am! I don't want to bury the lead so here's a glimpse of the awesomeness we ended up at...a million more pictures of it coming up.
We took Mosely with us on this hike even though we were a little worried about the steep decent to the falls. It was a little difficult but overall totally worth it to bring her along!
Yes, I'm obsessed with taking her picture.
The first view once you make it down the cable-railed decent! The reward for a very sunny/rocky hike!
TEXAS. I just can't get over that this is Texas and not Oregon. We literally hiked through cacti and limestone rocks to get here.
Casual.
To the left of Gorman Falls is the Colorado River. There is an access spot where the waterfall flows into the river and we were able to chill there with Mosely for a bit before heading back to the trail.
The hike took us just over 2 hours but that included about 30 minutes spent hanging around the falls taking pictures and letting Mosely swim (in the river- you can't get in the pool by falls). Round trip the hike is a fairly easy 3 miles. I am so glad we did this hike and went early in the morning as I hear it can get pretty crowded- we were the only ones there! What do you think?? Texas is pretty cool yall.
